About the role

The primary function of this role is the development, delivery, and maintenance of fit for purpose, innovative curricula for our post-graduate and undergraduate nursing programmes, through culturally responsive teaching practice. 

As an academic staff member, you will form part of a team of dedicated academics who make a significant difference to the teaching, research, scholarship, and administration activities of the profession.

You will work with students to support their learning by providing teaching within the nursing programmes and facilitating student progression of problem solving, clinical reasoning, reflection on practice, and clinical skills development. 

You will value working collaboratively in a team and be committed to the ongoing development of your own knowledge and skills.

To be successful, you must have:

  • Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and hold a current Annual Practising Certificate.
  • Minimum post graduate qualification in a health related subject area
  • Relevant teaching qualification or be committed to completing a tertiary teaching qualification within two years of employment.
