Southern Institute of Technology is a well recognised provider of tertiary vocational training, offering a comprehensive range of programmes that lead to formal qualifications. SIT has a long history in the delivery of certificate, bachelor and graduate programmes in both Contemporary Music and Audio Production. Our programmes feature a high level of live performance, one-on-one tuition and audio production hands on classes.
We are currently looking to appoint an appropriately qualified and experienced person to join the teaching staff in the Faculty of New Media, Arts and Business. This is a full-time permanent position.
If you have strong experience in the professional audio and music industry or in a music educator role, can impart passion, have strong communication skills, hold (or are working toward) a suitable post graduate qualification and have a commitment to musicians and audio technicians of the future, then we want to hear from you.
While previous teaching experience would be an advantage, training is available with academic staff being required to undertake study towards the National Diploma of Adult Education and Training as part of their appointment.
