Nurse Educator

Southern Institute of Technology is a well recognised provider of tertiary vocational training, offering a comprehensive range of programmes that lead to formal qualifications. The School of Nursing offers programmes from post-graduate to certificate level.

We are seeking applications from registered nurses with a current practicing certificate who hold a Masters degree in a health related area, or are currently actively studying toward achieving a Masters degree (having already completed a post graduate diploma)

Expertise in the foundations of nursing practice and nursing knowledge is essential as you will be;

  • Delivering theory related to the practice of nursing across all levels of programmes.
  • Involved in theoretical and clinical assessment of students and pastoral support.

Assistant Student Liaison - Permanent Full Time

Southern Institute of Technology (SIT) currently has the above full-time vacancy within the Marketing Department. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and energetic person to join the domestic marketing team. The successful applicant will hold a tertiary qualification in marketing or related discipline and while it is desirable to have some experience in this field recent graduates are welcome to apply. Applicants must be flexible and adaptable with effective organisational and time management skills and have a high level of computer literacy. A positive work ethic and the ability to work unsupervised are critical.

To be successful applicants must have an excellent command of the English language and demonstrate exceptional communication skills. The successful applicant must also demonstrate above average competence with the Microsoft suite of programmes. PLUMBING/GASFITTING & DRAINLAYING TUTOR

Southern Institute of Technology is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified person to teach the apprentice programme for Plumbing/Gasfitting and Drainlaying within the Trades and Technology Faculty at our Invercargill Campus.

The successful applicant will hold a certification and registration in plumbing/gasfitting with drainlaying qualifications and experience along with significant industry experience.
