NURSE EDUCATOR - INVERCARGILL CAMPUS

Southern Institute of Technology is a well-recognised provider of tertiary vocational training, offering a comprehensive range of programmes that lead to formal qualifications. The School of Nursing offers programmes from post-graduate to certificate level.

We are seeking applications from registered nurses with a current practicing certificate who hold a Nursing degree and are actively studying toward achieving a postgraduate qualification in health or education.

 

Expertise in the foundations of nursing practice and nursing knowledge is essential as you will be:

  • Delivering theory related to the practice of nursing across all levels of programs.
  • Involved in theoretical and clinical assessment of students and pastoral support.
  • Participating in research related activities.
  • Highly organized with sound knowledge of computers.

Above all you will be a good communicator with a strong aspiration to work with a motivated and committed group of students and staff.

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT TUTOR - INVERCARGILL CAMPUS

LIMITED TENURE POSITION (04 June to 29 November 2019)

Southern Institute of Technology is the region’s largest provider of tertiary vocational training, offering a comprehensive range of programmes that lead to formal qualifications at Certificate, Diploma and Degree levels. We are seeking applications from appropriately qualified and experienced people to fill the above position to cover a Fulbright leave from 04 June to 29 November 2019. 

The successful applicant will hold at least a postgraduate qualification, preferably Master’s in environmental science/Management and have extensive experience in teaching geology, chemistry and hydrology at a tertiary level. An ability to contribute or be responsible for both teaching and fieldwork in environmental management, soils, groundwater, geology, conservation, chemistry, ecology and student project development and research is required. 

There will be occasions when student fieldwork will be undertaken during weekends in remote locations and there is an expectation that the successful candidate will continue teaching links with outside groups.

PLUMBING/GASFITTING & DRAINLAYING TUTOR - INVERCARGILL CAMPUS

FULL TIME PERMANENT

 

Southern Institute of Technology is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified person to teach apprentice programme for Plumbing/ Gasfitting and Drain laying within the Trades and Technology Faculty at our Invercargill Campus.

 

The successful applicant will hold a certification and registration in plumbing/gasfitting with drainlaying qualifications and experience along with significant industry experience.
