The Southern Institute of Technology is looking for a suitably experienced and qualified person to undertake the above permanent position in the International Department.
The position combines a mixture of marketing and administrative duties as well as pastoral care and support for our international students. To be successful in this role, you will have an undergraduate qualification in Business/Commerce and/or IT, preferably at degree level with strands in International Business or Communication. Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of programmes, ARTENA and/or other student management System is a must.
Ideally you will have experience in Administration, Office Support, Customer Service, International Business/marketing and an excellent understanding of immigration rules and regulations in New Zealand. The position holder must demonstrate exceptional communication skills with an outstanding command of the English language.
Due to the diversity of this role, applicants must demonstrate the ability to multi-task and set priorities. Applicants must be flexible and adaptable with effective organisational and time management skills. Demonstration of positive work ethics with the ability to work unsupervised and be self-motivated as the role necessitates working independently on occasions
