Southern Institute of Technology is currently looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced person to teach IT papers at our Queenstown Campus on a part time basis.
If you have good communication skills and are enthusiastic about the work you do, now is an opportunity to share that knowledge and passion.
Ideally, we are seeking applications from people who hold a bachelors qualification or higher in IT/Computer Science and who have industry experience.
You will need to be able to teach in one or more of the following areas:
- Web Development (HTML5, CSS, Java Script)
- Web Frameworks
- Project Management
- Application, Testing and Maintenance
- Database development (SQL)
- Game Development
- System Analysis and Design
This is an exciting opportunity to join a casual tutor pool and you will be working alongside other information technology tutors.
While previous teaching experience would be an advantage, training is available in this area with academic staff being encouraged to undertake study towards the National Certificate of Adult Education and Teaching, offered through SIT.
