Southern Institute of Technology (SIT) is seeking a qualified and experienced English Language Tutor to deliver high-quality lessons to learners from diverse cultural backgrounds.
About the Role
Essential Qualifications:
- CELTA or an equivalent TESOL/TEFL qualification or relevant tertiary qualification
- Proven experience teaching adult ESOL learners
Key responsibilities include:
- Plan and deliver lessons in alignment with the teaching requirements
- Develop lesson plans and assessments
- Monitor and evaluate learner progress against programme learning outcomes
- Participate in moderation and academic quality assurance processes
- Maintain accurate academic records and contribute to compliance requirements
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent classroom management and learner engagement skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, reliable, and student-focused approach
