MAINZ programmes are designed for music lovers with the industry in mind.

The faculty, which comes under the umbrella of Southern Institute of Technology (SIT), has campuses in Auckland Central and Christchurch. On offer are introductory short courses, through to certificate, diploma and degree level qualifications. Subjects covered include music performance, DJ and electronic music production, live sound, audio engineering and event management.

Student Frequently Asked Questions - MAINZ Transfer to SIT


MAINZ will transfer to Southern Institute of Technology on 31 January 2018.

Your SIT student ID card will be issued after the transfer of MAINZ from TPP to SIT on 31 January 2018.

No, you can stay at your current MAINZ campus.

If this is your first year of tertiary study, the Government's new fees-free policy may apply to you, to check your eligibility visit www.feesfree.govt.nz. If this is not your first year of study, fees will apply.

You need to ensure that you update your provider to Southern Institute of Technology via your MyStudyLink account.

Your VoS will be returned as "unknown" until the transition date of 31 January 2018. As long as you have fully completed your Studylink application, a confirmed VoS will be returned to Studylink after this date.
