Arthouse films are back in the city centre, as the Invercargill Film Society resumes screenings after a three year hiatus.

The society was established 25 years ago and ran continuously until it went into recess after having difficulty sourcing product for the changing technology.

Film society president Anna Rowe-Dean said the renewal of the society has been made possible by a partnership with SIT.
