The qualification includes compulsory standards that focus on the acquisition of theoretical and practical knowledge and skills that form the structural base of the qualification. The range of skills and activities contained in the elective section provides an opportunity to develop a flexible approach to learning. It provides a range of opportunities for structured workplace learning through work-based learning programmes.

This programme in business administration will provide students with the skills and knowledge that are directly relevant to working or further training in the business sector. The programme covers computer applications - Powerpoint, Word, Access, Excel, desktop publishing, health and safety, communications, reception, and administrative systems.
Available part time only
This course gives students an appreciation of coffee. The course includes the history and evolution of coffee and espresso technology for today's café society. This course is targeted towards those interested in the barista field, plus those currently within the industry who wish to upskill.

This programme introduces you to the exciting world of computing technology and its applications that are both nationally and locally relevant.
18 weeks full time. Part-time study is also available.
It provides skills in hardware, software, word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and file management. The emphasis is on the practical application of technology in the workplace.
The programme will allow students to gain skills and knowledge that are directly relevant to working or further training in the computing sector, and develop work habits and practice appropriate for this.

This programme aims to provide a basic understanding of practises that result in safe food handling. It is for all people working, or preparing to work, in a food business.
2 days, 9.00am-5.30pm
This two day programme covers the unit standards required to gain the Licence Controller Qualification. It is compulsory to hold this qualification if applying for the General Managers Certificate, and is important for people working or intending to work in a supervisory role in a licenced premises.

This fun and exciting programme is a foundation level of the Māori language which will introduce you to basic tikanga Māori and introductory conversational Māori.

This programme provides sound foundation knowledge, skills and awareness for working with children and young people with special needs. This is highly relevant for people who are interested in working as teacher aides and in supportive and care giving roles for children and young people.
