  • Year 1 Bachelor of Hotel Management Students Food & Beverage events under way

The food & beverage management events organised and run by SIT Bachelor of Hotel Management students are in full swing, and event one was a hit!  It was a huge learning curve for the first year students, as the group managing this event worked a massive day and night - a welcome to hospitality in the real world!

The customers pronounced the event a success and were all very happy.  The portions were generous and the courses kept coming, so most took food home with them and they were all smiling as they left.

Help in the bar was provided by students from the Certificate in Café and Bar Service course, which was a win win situation as event staff were grateful for the extra staffing numbers and the bar service students were able to polish their beverage service skills ready for assessment starting next week with The Bungalow opening.

The food & beverage management events continue in the next two weeks
