Turn your passion for music into a career!

Study Music at SIT Invercargill and take part in weekly performances, organised tours and concerts, and performance workshops with our contemporary music courses.

You will be able to develop your musical talent further with our small class sizes, one on one lessons for your major instrument and fantastic performing and recording facilities.

We encourage students to collaborate with audio production students and access our world-class recording equipment and studios at SIT Sound. Many students opt to complete a double degree in Audio Production and Music in just four years.

Our experienced tutors and practical music courses will prepare you for a wide range of careers in music.

Our Music and Audio Institute of New Zealand faculty also offers music courses in Christchurch, but these not covered under SIT’s Zero Fees Scheme.
