ABOUT THE ROLE:

Southern Institute of Technology is seeking to appoint both a permanent full-time and a fixed-term (9-months) Enrolments and Customer Service Officer. The fixed-term position is to provide cover for an internal secondment.

The Enrolments and Customer Service Officer play a key frontline role in delivering high-quality service to prospective and current students, staff, and external stakeholders. This position supports enrolment operations, customer enquiries, and administrative processes to ensure a smooth and efficient student experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide professional and friendly customer service to all internal and external customers, ensuring enquiries are resolved promptly or referred appropriately
  • Process sales, payments, and maintain accurate financial and transactional records.
  • Manage telephone and reception duties, including answering calls, redirecting enquiries, and taking messages
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and courier items, ensuring accurate recording and timely distribution
  • Assist with student enrolment processing, ensuring data is accurate, secure, and compliant with policies and external requirements
  • Support the maintenance of enrolment records, reporting, and updates within the student management system
  • Respond to enrolment-related queries and liaise with staff to ensure timely resolution of issues
  • Assist with fee processing, Study link requirements, and course/programme setup as required

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE:

  • Experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably within an education or enrolments environment
  • Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail, particularly when working with data and records
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional, approachable manner
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a busy frontline environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and provide support across teams
  • Confidence using systems and technology, with the ability to learn student management systems
