About the Scholarship:
Danone offers three annual scholarships of up to $5,000 to support aspiring animal and agricultural students in their studies, with the aim of helping them enter the agricultural sector.
The scholarships aim to reduce financial barriers to study, encourage talent across the agricultural, equine, and animal care industries, and support the development of future leaders in sustainable farming, food production and animal health.
Applicants must show:
- A strong commitment to a career in agriculture, particularly in animal, pasture management, or farm operations.
- Academic potential and/or practical experience relevant to the field.
- Alignment with Danone’s values of sustainability, health, and innovation.
- A desire to contribute to the growth and sustainability of New Zealand’s agricultural sector.
Applicants must be studying on campus programmes at Telford - Massey Diploma in Agriculture (Level 5), Farming Systems & Equipment (Level 3), Animal Health Care Assisting (Rural Animal Technician) or Equine and must be a New Zealand citizen or Permanent Resident.
Scholarship Categories: Academic – Awarded to students who demonstrate strong academic performance and potential
Practical – Recognising hands-on skills and a commitment to practical learning in primary industries
Hardship – Supporting students facing financial or personal challenges
How to Apply:
Application forms are released at Telford in Term 2.
Application Process:
Selected applicants will be required to attend a short interview. The recipient will be chosen by a selection panel comprising representatives from Telford and Danone.
Payment Structure:
The scholarships will be paid in two instalments: 50% upon confirmation of the successful applicant, and 50% upon successful completion of the programme.
Payments will be applied toward course fees or accommodation costs and paid directly to the institution.
Non-Completion Clause
Danone may request repayment of the first instalment if the recipient does not complete the full year of study.
