Study Architectural Technology at SIT

If you enjoy drawing, problem-solving and structure, and have strong skills in design or maths, a career in Architectural Technology or Quantity Surveying could be ideal for you.

As an Architectural Technology student, you’ll learn to design and model buildings, develop concepts into working drawings, and gain practical skills in construction processes, health and safety, and quality assurance.

Quantity Surveying students learn to estimate costs and materials, communicate effectively with clients and project teams, and gain a strong understanding of building technology, construction processes, and legal standards.

At SIT, students have access to a specialised design suite with 30 stations and use a wide range of Computer-Aided Architectural Design (CAAD) programmes including ArchiCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, Grasshopper, and Photoshop, along with manual drawing stations. The programme also includes regular site visits and opportunities to work on real-world projects.
