Sonali Mendis is Programme Manager for NZ Diploma in Tourism & Travel (Levels 5 & 6) and teaches Tourism, Travel, and Hotel Management (Human Resources, Event Management, Research, Strategic Management) at SIT Queenstown Campus.

 

Originally from Sri Lanka, she joined SIT Queenstown Campus in 2016, and has over 18 years of experience in the fields of - human resources, management, administration, operations, event management and education. Sonali is also involved in content development, as well as facilitating online, for Business Management papers in Level 5, 6 and 7 qualifications for SIT.

 

Sonali holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Enterprise and a Degree in Human Resources Management. She has an Adult Education Qualification and Te Reo Maori Level 1, through SIT2LRN, and is currently pursuing a Master of Applied Management, also via SIT2LRN.

 

Her passion is research and she loves getting involved in industry/community events and building networks.
