Location: Position commencing in Hubei, China, operating on a semester-by-semester basis, with a permanent full-time appointment based in Invercargill.
Southern Institute of Technology (SIT), is a well-recognised provider of tertiary vocational training, offering qualifications from certificates to master’s levels, including Information Technology programmes. We are seeking a fixed term IT Tutor to join our dedicated team and help shape the future of our learners. This role is unique as is based in HUBEI China.
About You
You are a passionate IT professional with a strong academic background, ready to inspire and guide students in achieving their learning goals. Ideally, you will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in IT or higher
- Teaching experience is preferred but not essential
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, and optionally JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SQL
- Knowledge of tools and frameworks such as Visual Studio, React, Unity, Unreal, ASP.NET, Docker
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and teaching technologies is preferred.
- Subject delivery is in English, but having some proficiency in Chinese language would be a benefit.
- Successful candidate will be teaching, IT operations, Operating Systems, Programming and Web Servies and Design Methodologies.
