The Southern Institute of Technology is seeking Three Council Members.


The Southern Institute of Technology (Te Whare Wānanga o Murihiku) is seeking three experienced and forward-thinking individuals to join its Council. This is a significant governance role offering the opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction and long-term success of a leading tertiary institution.


Council appointments are staggered to maintain a balance of skills and experience across the Council.


As a Council Member, you will play a key governance role in shaping the future of SIT. The Council is responsible for setting strategic priorities, overseeing institutional performance, and ensuring accountability at the highest level.


This role focuses on governance rather than operational management, working closely with the Council Chair, Council Members, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and SIT senior leadership team.
