The Southern Institute of Technology (SIT) will host young professionals this weekend as part of the LIFEHACK workshop which is making its way around the country. LIFEHACK is an event that brings creative young people together to work together on youth well -being. The purpose of LIFEHACK is to unite passionate young business people, designers, marketers, web and mobile developers, technologists, illustrators and musicians together to create digital solutions in a free weekend workshop to get communities working on youth well-being.
Life Hack Event Manager Anna Guenther says "LIFEHACK Southland is looking like it'll be our biggest event yet - and we're so excited to be working with local folk on local youth causes".
The event will run in SIT rooms B10 and B11
Friday 16th - 6pm to 9pm
Pitches and team formation. Brainstorming and idea selection.
Saturday 17th - 10am to 8pm
morning: Idea discovery, surveys and more.
afternoon: Idea prototyping, validation, new tools, mentor feedback and more.
evening: Creating, learning, more prototyping, further validating, feedback from mentors and more.
Sunday 18th - 10am to 4pm
morning: Creating, publishing, launching, finishing touches and more.
afternoon: Pitching learnings, wrap up, celebrations.
