Fashionistas will have an eye-feast at this year’s Chrysalis SIT fashion students show, Metanoia.
Media manager Kasandra Rattrie said there were ‘‘more models and more garments’’ than at any previous fashion showcase, with a pool of 90 models this year.
The nine designers graduating this year who were showing their work each needed seven models, while two designers from last year were also showing their work.
‘‘This is the most [models and designers] the show has ever had.’’
Each year a different theme was chosen, with ‘‘Metanoia, turning into light for a bright future’’ chosen for this show.
The evening would be divided into fashion sections, including a collection of six looks, a client project such as Invercargill Town Crier Lynley McKerrow’s new robes, street wear, and corsetry.
There would also be a section for garments which were part of the students’ ‘‘inspired by nature’’ portfolio, and a few 2015 Hokonui Fashion Design Award winners, Ms Rattrie said.
Live music by SIT music students would begin the show, with salsa dancing during the interval.
