As a niche provider of health and safety management programmes for students throughout New Zealand, SIT was delighted that the Health and Safety Association of New Zealand (HASANZ) awarded two of their inaugural tertiary education scholarships in workplace health to SIT2LRN Faculty students.

Latonia Crockett and John McColl were selected out of more than 100 applicants, who were evaluated by a panel including representatives from tertiary institutes, HASANZ member associations and the wider health and safety sector.

Evaluation panel member Dr Felicity Lamm, who is Associate Professor and Co-Director of the Centre for Occupational Health and Safety Research at the Auckland University of Technology (AUT), said there had been an overwhelming response to the scholarships with a high calibre of applicants putting their hands up for selection.
