MAINZ Christchurch has enhanced its audio engineering and music production programmes with the purchase of a new Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 Synthesizer from long-term industry partner Rockshop.
The Prophet 5 has been a staple in electronic music since its introduction in 1978; the new instrument is a faithful re-imagining of the original, with modern features that make it even more powerful and versatile. The synthesizer features a 61-note keyboard and a dual-filter design which provides a warm, rich sound with unparalleled depth and character.
MAINZ are thrilled to add this iconic instrument to their collection which will provide MAINZ students with opportunities to explore the nuances of analogue synthesis and experiment by creating their own unique sounds, utilising the knowledge and skills they gain throughout their studies.
The acquisition of this renowned synthesizer is part of an ongoing commitment from the specialist campus to provide MAINZ students with access to the latest technology to support their musical endeavours.
