Develop a range of introductory digital technology skills that will help you with general entry level employment opportunities. Study the New Zealand Certificate in Computing (User Fundamentals) (Level 2) to learn computing from the very beginning.

You will learn:

  • How to use business software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access Database.
  • Database application, desktop pulishing, image editing, documents and folder organisation.
  • Internet browsers, search engines and communication.
  • Computer systems, security, compliance and troubleshooting.

This qualification will assist graduates in improving digital literacy and capability in society, in a range of personal, community and voluntary areas.

To satisfactorily complete the New Zealand Certificate in Computing (User Fundamentals) (Level 2), and be awarded this qualification the student must successfully achieve: -

  • A minimum of 40 credits in accordance with the Programme Schedule for the New Zealand Certificate in Computing (User Fundamentals) (Level 2).
  • The student will normally be expected to complete the New Zealand Certificate in Computing (User Fundamentals) (Level 2) full-time over three months or part-time over 2 years.

(Please note; students failing to attend for 80% of timetabled programme hours may forfeit zero fees entitlement)
