STUDY FASHION AT SIT

From fantastic tutors to industry-standard equipment and software, fashion students at SIT can immerse themselves in a supportive, creative environment and let their talents blossom. SIT offers a graduate diploma programme, devised to ensure our graduates are fully prepared to enter employment in this exciting and dynamic field.

 

Studying at SIT gives you access to fully automatic industrial sewing machines as well as computer programmes and hardware used for computer-aided pattern-making and design, plus the help and encouragement from our experienced and creative tutors.

 

The Graduate Diploma in Fashion (Design and Technology) can be taken as a one-year full time. The course is about 'Real World’ projects: making real garments for real people. It has an equal focus on both the creative and technical aspects of the fashion industry, from concept and design development through to practical production.

One year full-time or three years part-time

The aim of the programme is to provide a fashion programme that will enhance the knowledge base, skills and professionalism of those working or intending to work in the fashion sector, to produce dedicated, professional practitioners who hold a qualification which is well regarded by employers in the fashion industry and to prepare graduates for life-long learning, with the desire to constantly update their knowledge and skills within a changing work environment.

Course Details

Students will learn the design development process and utilise this process to design their own collection of fashion garments.
