Duration:

Intakes are 17 weeks long (except research dissertation).

The National Diploma in Adult Education and Training (Level 6) is designed for people responsible for management and leadership of adult education and training. People awarded this qualification have demonstrated expertise in the areas of assessment, delivery, design and development, evaluation, Maori education and training, and management of adult education and training. Holders of this qualification have a substantial depth of knowledge and skills in adult education and training, having met standards selected to suit personal, professional, and employment requirements through the elective sections of the qualification.

This qualification provides graduates with the skills and techniques required for digital photography, underpinned by the principles of the discipline. Graduates will gain an understanding of the issues faced by photographers in professional practice and how to respond to them.

Landscape Design combines elements of art and science to create a functional, aesthetically pleasing extension of indoor living to the outdoors. One purpose of landscape design is to blend houses or buildings into the natural surroundings. To work toward a desirable landscape design, the landscape horticulturist must have a working knowledge of design principles and plants.

Following on from the Level 3 Certificate in Health Science, this certificate provides training for employment in the health sciences sector. You will learn about the human structure and many of the systems of the body.

Duration:

Intakes are 12 weeks long.

  • Part time study is preferable, due to the intensive workload. Full time study may be applied for.
  • Part time study may be completed over a period of up to 2 years by selecting alternate intakes  – ie select papers for intakes  #1 + #3 + #5   OR   #2 and #4 to avoid date overlaps.
  • Full time study = 40 credits within one intake
  • All papers selected within a particular intake must be completed within that intake and cannot be carried over to another intake.

This programme is particularly designed for managers on all levels and team/project leaders who work with people and would like to improve both the team results and staff individual performance. This programme is also suitable for small/medium business owners who would like to accelerate positive changes in their companies - improving their business results, get more customers etc.

  • Part time study may be completed over a period of up to 2 years by selecting alternate intakes  – ie select papers for intakes  #1 + #3 + #5   OR   #2 and #4 to avoid date overlaps.
  • As a guideline, one credit equates to approximately 10 hours study within an intake period
  • All papers selected within a particular intake must be completed within that intake and cannot be carried over to another intake.

The programme provides students with the skills and knowledge required for employment or further training in the health sciences sector.  An ideal starting point for students wishing to study Nursing, Midwifery or Therapeutic and Sports Massage.
