Are you working on a computer-based recording system? Do you want to improve the production quality of your work? Various techniques and strategies, including looking at instrumentation, using rhythm and melody, improving lyrical structures, editing and effects, will help you find your voice and develop your unique sound.

  • Useful production tools, tips and tricks 
  • hints on setting up your writing/recording studio

Each session will begin by looking at some big-picture concepts and relating them to how successful songs work. Useful practical techniques based around some key production aspects and tools will be demonstrated using real-life examples. Students will be encouraged to bring in their own work for feedback.

Cost is $60.00 (incl GST) which will be invoiced to you on enrolment. Fees must be paid before you commence the programme.

International Fees $195.00 (incl GST)

To be eligible for domestic cost (ACE funding), students must be:

  • A New Zealand resident or citizen
  • Not studying full time
  • Over 16

Applicants for whom English is a second language must meet IELTS (or equivalent) Level 5.5 with no band lower than 5.0.
