To get the most out of your studies and time spent as a student, you need to be healthy, both physically and emotionally. Our Health Centre provides a free, friendly and confidential service to all students.
A registered nurse is available daily to help with any health related issues such as: support with underlying health conditions, sexual health, pregnancy testing and support, emergency contraceptive pill, blood pressure checks, wart treatments, wound dressings, removal of sutures, injury and much more. Referral and access to doctors and other health professionals. Partial refund on some medical expenses.
If you have issues that are troubling you, and you want to talk to someone about them, a counsellor is also available. Counselling can help you look at the issues and make changes if you want to. Some areas of counselling are: stress, goal setting, decision making, sexual abuse, referrals, relationships, pregnancy issues, setting limits, dealing with anger, anxiety, depression or grief, conflict resolutions, alcohol, drugs and gambling issues.
