Southern Institute of Technology would like to offer FIVE scholarships for students from India, Sri Lanka and Nepal.

 

The partial scholarship will only be for the Academic Portion which means the recipients will be saving up to NZ$18,000.  The recipient will have to cover their living expenses, accommodation and travel.  We will assist the students in securing part-time jobs if they so desire.

 

The scholarship offered will be for the following programmes:

• Postgraduate Diploma in Business Enterprise - 18 months, level 8 programme
• Graduate Diploma in Sport and Recreation - One year, level 7 programme
• Graduate Diploma in Environmental Management - One year, level 7 programme
• Diploma in Sport & Exercise Science - One year, level 5 & 6 programme
• National Diploma in Business - Level 5
• Diploma in Information Technology - One year, level 5 programme

 

Please note that the first two programmes require a first degree as a prerequisite.

Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions for The John Wright Scholarship @ SIT:

1. Open to Men and Women.

2. Must have competed at High School/University level. Must show evidence e.g. State Certificates, Verified Awards, Verified newspaper clippings.

3. Must be available for Marketing purposes for SIT.

4. Must be available to represent Southland teams during the Summer Season.

5.  Must exhibit exemplary behaviour at all times.

6.  The Partial Scholarship is only for the Academic Programme.  A savings of up to $18,000 depending on the programme chosen.

7.  Accommodation, living expenses and travel expenses must be paid by the recipient.

8.  Assistance will be given to secure a part-time job.

9.  Scholarship for the following year (if any) will be dependent on the academic performance of the recipient for the current year.
