This programme aims to produce graduates with the ability to care for animals and employ safe working practices appropriate to the animal care sector, and to be competent in a wide range of animal care and handling skills.
One year full time
This programme provides students with the theoretical and practical skills appropriate for entering employment in the animal health sector, or in preparation for further specialist study. The qualification will be awarded to students who have competence in a wide range of skills appropriate to work in a veterinary clinic.
One year full time (two years including the Certificate in Veterinary Nursing, which is a prerequisite to the Diploma)
Graduates will have the ability to care for animals and employ safe working practices appropriate to the veterinary nursing industry sector, and be competent in a wide range of veterinary nursing skills, as well as a range of complementary generic, communication, and business skills.
This programme focuses on veterinary nursing in a rural environment. It provides a wide range of veterinary nursing skills including management of large animals, animal handling and husbandry, client education and laboratory practices. It also includes complementary generic, communication, and business skills.
Intakes are 12 weeks long.
