This programme gives you the entry level skills and knowledge necessary to operate competently in positions related to business administration and information technology. It is a blend of theoretical and practical learning that recognises the demands of administration/office support roles in today's challenging times. The programme includes word and text processing, spreadsheets, database, mail merge, working between applications, desktop publishing using MSWord, PowerPoint, computer operation, answering telephones, customer service provision, interpersonal communications, business communication, health and safety, information processing as well as learning office procedures and reception skills. The training in this programme is nationally and locally relevant, and is taught in an environment which reflects workplace practices.

This programme aims to increase the number of speakers in conversational Te Reo Máori across all generations. You will examine aspects of tikanga Máori through activities especially designed to encourage communication in Máori. These will include a combination of formal and informal situations such as Hui, Powhiri and Noho Marae.

17 weeks part time
This New Zealand Institute of Management (NZIM) qualification has been specifically developed to give you thorough practical training in all aspects of first level supervision and management. It also prepares you for further study towards more advanced business qualifications such as the NZIM Diploma in Business.
This fun and exciting programme is a foundation level of the Maori language which will introduce you to basic tikanga Maori and introductory conversational Maori.

This two day programme covers the unit standards required to gain the Licence Controller Qualification. It is compulsory to hold this qualification if applying for the General Managers Certificate, and is important for people working or intending to work in a supervisory role in a licenced premises.
