Certificate in Automotive Heavy Trades - Stacey Anderson
Why do a course before getting into an apprenticeship?
For Stacey Anderson, Service Manager at Southland Farm Machinery, the answer is simple: “I’m where I am today because of it.”
Stacey studied the Certificate in Automotive Heavy Trades in 2000. Whilst studying he attended work experience with a Gore-based agricultural repair company.
On completion of the course he moved to Christchurch where he obtained full time employment and an agricultural apprenticeship with the local John Deere franchise. Once fully qualified he continued to work for them until returning to Invercargill to take on his current Service Manager role with Southland Farm Machinery Ltd.
He thoroughly enjoys the role and highly recommends training at SIT to other people who are looking at doing a trade course.
