Christchurch


Duration:

40 weeks full time

Location: Christchurch

Graduates of this programme will have knowledge and skills required to enter the electrical engineering and related industries, and be able to employ safe working practices appropriate to these industries. Graduates will be competent in a wide range of relevant industry skills. Students will be trained in the skills and knowledge appropriate, as a first stage of training that will lead to qualifications in electrical engineering, electronics, or electronic security and related trades.

Duration:

40 weeks full time - three days per week class time, two days per week work experience

Location: Christchurch

This programme is designed for those wishing to enter the refrigeration and air conditioning industry. The units covered are designed to give practical and theory based skills in refrigeration, air conditioning and electrical work. Although the programme is a pre apprenticeship programme it also attracts more mature students who may wish to enter the industry as a technician. The successful students can gain a maximum of 20 credits towards the Certification of Refrigeration Engineer.
